During 2008-2010, Cleveron, then named SmartPOST, created automated parcel terminal network that covered the entire territory of Estonia and started to provide logistic services by using the network.
In August 2010, Itella Corporation (i.e. Finnish Post) acquired SmartPOST’s logistics business in Estonia together with its brand name. SmartPOST continued to operate in Estonia with 46 parcel terminal as Finnish Port subsidiary Itella SmartPOST. Additional 6 parcel terminals were installed in 2011 and additional 10 parcel terminals will be added during 2012.
Over 280 000 Estonians have used SmartPOST services at least once, that’s about 20% of the population.
More than 30% share of Estonian distance selling parcel market has been achieved.
More than 2000 business clients have registered to us the SmartPOST service.

Cleveron’s technology in Russian market
PickPoint (subsidiary of largest private postal company in Russia - CPCR Express) launched Automatic Parcel Terminal network of 20 terminals with Cleveron’s technology in the beginning of 2011. Parcel terminals are located in shopping centres and other public places with long operating hours in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The goal is to expand parcel terminal network to 115 machines by the middle of 2012 in larger Russian cities.
General Director of PickPoint, Nadezda Romanova said that this is an important postal technology breakthrough for Russia. “This is a revolutionary step in Russian postal services technology and good example of how private capital can produce remarkable innovations in effectiveness for the general public and enables also to world’s largest e-commerce companies to enter Russian market.” explained Romanova.

Itella SmartPOST launched Automatic Parcel Terminal network of 15 terminals with Cleveron’s technology in April 2011. Parcel terminals are located in shopping centres and other public places with long operating hours in Greater Helsinki. Additional 35 parcel terminals were installed in 2011 and during the course of 2012, Itella is planning on doubling the number of machines on its network to 100 in Finland.
